The Spirit of Rome
Several days ago, the Design Staff of Natalia Miyar Design Studio in London travelled to ROME for a close-up look at the history, art, and hospitality dimensions of the City.
During their time in Italy, the Design Team kindly gave me the privilege of leading them on several DRAWING excursions in the Center of Rome, and this meant I had the opportunity to share with them pages from my Sketching Handbook, containing years of freehand design lessons and activities. about The team's Director was particularly eager to see her workers feel at ease with the pencil and so our onsite lessons consisted of first-step skills in producing quick but focused thumbnail sketches, but we also addressed how to enlarge those small notes to larger scale renditions, as well as how to look for basic geometries in order to make their drawing in front of a client more readable.
Below are images from our two drawing sessions, which these talented designers kindly allowed me to post on my web site.
